Halewood Town and Borough Councillor Harry Birch was awarded the BEM in the January 2019 New Years Honours list. A well deserved honour for a true gentleman who spent many years working for the community of Halewood, volunteering and helping in many good causes. Harry's father-in-law was Harry Allen whose biography including his family's life and times in 20th century Halewood can be found here.
