FARNDON WAR MEMORIAL PROJECT

They Also Served

While one of the aims of this project is to trace all the men of the War Memorial and to compile a short biography of each, there were obviously many more men who served in the forces, who survived the conflict and returned home. Where information is known, detail about these men will be included here. There is already a section on Prisoners of War and those who were awarded military honours. Most links will at least lead to the Commonwealth War Graves Record or a news article, while there will be further information and evidence on file which has been used to verify the identity and residence. Gradually, as time allows, further information will be added to this public record of each soldier in the form of a short biography with illustrations and dcoumentary evidence.
